Our Apiaries our History

Apiary in summer

Our apiary in summer

Our beekeeping journey starts in 2009 on Vancouver island with only 2 hives. In 2011 we moved them to the lower mainland around Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam and later on to Delta where we now have a couple of small Apiaries. We never grew big, we always preferred to maintain the focus on the bees rather on the production, and we never compromised on the quality of their life and of their products. We only utilize organic practices to treat pests and we have complete peace of mind when we eat our Honey and when we give it to our young children that no part of the hive has ever come in Contact with any antibiotic, pesticides, or other toxins. This is only possible with small apuaries, with time at our disposal to do things right.

Each jar comes directly from our own hands, gently gathered, strained, and infused in limited batches without additives or interference.

From Hive to Jar

Our work begins in the hive. We keep our apiaries small and close to wild and diverse flora, then harvest gently, leaving plenty of honey for the bees.

From there, we infuse select batches with herbs, flowers, and roots in small lots. The result is honey with texture, character, and a real sense of place.

Full extraction process

The entire extraction process

Follow the path from our apiaries to your table, from tending colonies to slow extraction and careful bottling.

  1. Tending healthy colonies in small apiaries
  2. Gathering frames only when the honey is ready
  3. Extracting and filtering gently
  4. Bottling by hand in limited batches

Our Philosophy

We care for bees the way nature intended, without chemicals, shortcuts, or compromises.

Unlike many commercial practices, we never treat bees with chemicals or feed them sugar syrup. We leave our bees plenty of honey to thrive through winter so they emerge in spring healthy and abundant.

By working with nature, not against it, we produce honey that reflects balance, vitality, and respect for the bees.
